Pakistan to host the 2nd SAARC Insurance Regulators´ Meet & International Conference

The 2nd SAARC Insurance Regulators´ Meet & International Conference is being held from 14-16 April 2014 at the Movenpick Hotel, Karachi (Pakistan).With the strategic support from the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) is hosting this event as a sequel of the 1st SAARC Regulators Conference held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, last year. A diversified array of speakers and presenters will share their knowledge on a range of interesting topics including microinsurance, risk based supervision and insurance market development, catastrophe insurance and disaster risk financing, consumer protection, opportunities and challenges in takaful market development and technology & alternate distribution channels.Saifuddin Zoomkawala will give his address in 2nd SAARC Insurance Regulators Meet & International Conference.
Mr. Zoomkawala heads the EFU Insurance Group which underwrite combined total premium of over Rs. 29 Billion of all the three companies, it is the largest Insurance Group in Pakistan. He is also the Chairman of Allianz EFU Health Insurance Limited and Director of EFU Life Assurance Limited.Muhammad Ali Zeb will address in 2nd SAARC Insurance Regulators Meet & International Conference.Mufti Ehsan, Irfan Siddiqui is the founding President and CEO of Meezan Bank,Major General Muhammad Saeed Aleem, Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) Chairman National Disaster Management ,Fida Hussain Samoo Executive Director, Reinsurance, at the Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited ,Tahir Ahmed, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Jubilee General Insurance Company Limited will also address the Conference.
