Karachi University awarded first Degree in Takaful

University of Karachi awarded  the first kind of Degree in Takaful  (The Islamic mode of Insurance ),University awarded  Prof. Rukhsar Ahmed a PhD degree in TAKAFUL under the Department of Islamic Learning.The research conducted for eight years entitled “The Notion of TAKAFUL in ISLAMIC LAW and a Proposed MODEL for Business Administration in a Free Market Economy”, under the supervision and guidance of Prof. Dr. Akhter Saeed Siddiqui, Islamic Economist and Senior Dean, Faculty of Islamic Studies, University of Karachi.Prof Dr. Ansar Khan, Director, Institute of Islamic Banking and Takaful evaluated his research thesis as the External Examiner.The Chairperson, Department of Islamic Learning Prof. Dr. Rehana Firdous (PhD-University of London) appointed as Internal Examiner.This is the first kind of Degree awarded by University of Karachi, Pakistan. Prof.Dr. Rukhsar Ahmed is a Chief Executive officer , UMA Foundation, and Editor in chief of Research Journal.
