Mr.Hasanali Abdullah,elected unopposed as Chairman,IAP

Mr.Hasanali Abdullah, Mr. Arshad P.Rana  and Mr.Atiq Anwar Mahmudi  elected unopposed Chairman,Senior Vice Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively of The Insurance Association of Pakistan (IAP) for the year 2016-17.
The election results were announced by the Chairperson Election Commission IAP Farzana Siddiq. The following were elected as members of the Executive Committee: S.Shahid Abbas EFU life Assurance, Abdul Razak Ahmed, Reliance Insurance; Fredrik Coenrard De Beer, Adamjee life Insurance, Mohammmed Hussain Hirji Century Insurance Company, Nasar Us Samad Alfalah Insurance, Zain ul Haq Qureshi Asia insurance , Muhammad Rahat Sadiq United Insurance Company and Mr. Abdul Waheed Askari General Insurance The newly elected office bearers and Executive Committee members assumed their responsibilities with effect from October 1.ballot was held on September 15, 2016 in association’s head office at Karachi and Regional office at Lahore for the five seats three from non-life and two from life insurance companies. The commission counted the vote and determined the persons who have received the largest number of vote and elected to the above Committee.no election was held for life insurance companies reserved sets as the nomination received were not more then number to be elected.therefore the persons nominated by the life insurance companies were elected unopposed. only one nomination each for chairman, sr vice chairman and vice chairman were received therefore the office bearers also stand elected unopposed.
